Jangipur Road Railway Station

The project components include: complete façade improvement, adaptive reuse of the heritage station building, reorganization of the circulating area, development of the main concourse area, design of the new structure of the 2nd station building, commercial area development and provision of state-of-the-art facilities. The inclusive redevelopment is to make the railway station as an urban landmark through sustainable strategies & interventions, create public places & top-class amenities, provide pedestrian-friendly spaces with ease of movement & universal access and explore the real estate/revenue potential of the railway land in the station precinct. The use of local building materials and response to cultural context & user’s profile are key determinants of the chosen architectural expression.
