Eco-Restoration of Wazirabad Bundh is an excellent example of transforming a neglected corridor in a dense urban setting (where open space is at a premium) through partnership and considerable community engagement. This citizen driven initiative by a local NGO focused on rebuilding a deteriorated forest and waterway as a linear barrier-free nature park. It is a wonderful project which no doubt changed the lives of those in the locality; it is a project which deserves a recognition both for its engagement with the community and for its reimagining of an old infrastructure.
